Mr. England joined Texas Instruments in 1973 and spent 27 years holding responsibilities in integrated circuit design and product engineering, manufacturing supervision, integrated circuit process development, and operations management. His last assignment was Sr. Vice President responsible for the Digital Light ProcessingTM (DLPTM) business unit. Under Bob's guidance, DLPTM was a successful internal startup based on MEMS micro-mirror technology and is currently one of the leading technologies used to manufacture business and consumer projection systems. Prior to that, he served as senior vice president and manager of TI's world-wide semiconductor memory business.

Currently, Bob is President and CEO of Cumbre Inc; a Dallas based biopharmaceutical company focused on discovery and development of new antibiotics that seek to overcome bacterial resistance.

Outside of work, Bob enjoys amateur astronomy and racquetball.
